The Birthday Girl

How can we collect one year of joy into a "birthday"?
Our little girl turned one on Friday. We hosted a "Hungry Caterpillar" birthday party at our new house on Saturday for a few friends and family.
She refused the cupcake.
She LOVED the lollipop.
It was delightful to see the joy she brings to others as much as she does to us.

Bathtub fun

I don't know about other kids, but my daughter loves her bathtime. Thanks to bathtub baby skills she loves all water activities. Her new favorites are the bathtub crayons I had been saving for her. I didn't know if she would use them or know what to do with them, but she did chalk about a month or so ago, and she LOVED them. Tempers abound when I take them away.
Don't you just love the chubbyness?

We're getting ready...

The move date is Saturday, but Kate moved in already to her new "house"...except she got a barn too, lucky girl.
