I'm a Mom!
Remember how I told you I was missing a hen? Now I know why... here she is: a first time mom who was smart enough to pick a warm spot during our cold spell the past few weeks and just in time for a warm weather spurt. I haven't gotten a clear peak at them all but last I counted there were ten or eleven eggs... Yippee. Now we can go back to making eggs !

My heart about stopped when I read "I'm a mom." Then I kept reading... false alarm:~) Oh, well. Chicken babies are much less work than human babies, and I'm happy for you!

It must be fun to raise chickens! I bought some orange lentils this week at the farmer's market and plan to try your lentil recipe this week!
Joe and I have always wanted chickens... alas, our HOA does not approve.
