Baby Update: One and a quarter
We have 125 days to go together.
You are growing by the minute and my belly is growing as well.
Your grandparents visited this weekend and kept us entertained while Daddy was working hard on exams and schoolwork. It was almost like they lived here, because we didn't spend all day together but ate some dinners together and relaxed together on the nice weather days.
We also went golfing with the Nams. Dutch almost killed us in the golf cart, but we forgave him, because he was trying to be competitive with Mr. Nam.
The best part was when Gigi made us dinner: any meal cooked with my mom's love tastes so good. It was simple, honest Jansen meal: roasted asparagus, grilled salmon, boiled baby potatoes and wine. What more do you need??? Ben & Jerry's ice cream- my father's contribution, although we scolded him for the saturated fat content.
Most importantly, it kept us from going crazy while we missed Daddy dreadfully. We see him five minutes in the morning and, if we are lucky, five minutes at night. As we talk though, we realize that we have to be grateful. My friends who are married to military men, often don't see their husbands for 6 weeks and upto one year. Five minutes must be treasured.
We have to keep our eye on the goal and our hearts satisfied in Christ, believing the promises from Jeremiah "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future". This is a promise we need from conception until the day we die.
